Underfoot (2020)
Sometimes we don’t pay much attention to rocks. Some rocks have existed for millions or even billions of years and yet we often step on them without even giving them a second thought. If we slow down though, and really take a look, we will see that many of these rocks are quite beautiful.
This series of twenty-one images (presented here as seven triptychs) was made in two separate locations – Glacier National Park, Montana, USA and Kananaskis, Alberta, Canada a few years apart. Although the two locations are separated by a distance of several hundred kilometers, they have one thing in common and that is the beautifully coloured and textured rocks.
I hope you enjoy viewing these as much as I enjoyed making them!
