Morning in the Mountains

Every October, for the past several years, I spend a weekend or a week camping in a remote corner of the Canadian Rocky Mountains in British Columbia. This particular spot is only a few hundred meters from our campsite so it’s easy to run down to the river whenever the light gets interesting. The river is a little bit different every year and there is always something new, so I’m always on the lookout for new compositions. This particular image was created in October 2017. After this beautiful sunrise, the sky soon clouded over and it rained for the rest of the day.
