Lake McDonald
I arrived at the south shore of Lake McDonald in Glacier National Park (Montana, USA) well before sunrise but already the sky over the mountains on the other side of the lake was starting to glow. I walked back and forth along the shore looking for a pleasing composition until I found this log a little ways in the water. I was wearing sandals so I just rolled up my pant legs and waded in. The water was ankle deep at best but cool and refreshing. I set up my composition and then waited until the ripples I caused moving around had subsided. Then, when the water was finally still, I pressed the shutter.
