A Glacier in the Clouds

This glacier is located in North-Western British Columbia, Canada and is one of the most impressive glaciers that I have ever seen. The first time I visited the glacier was on a warm, summer day and you could look down upon it as if you were a bird flying through the sky. Amazing!
On the occasion when this image was made however, the sky was gray and the air was cool. From the viewpoint above the glacier you could see nothing but clouds – it was a total white-out. We waited a couple hours hoping the skies would clear but they didn’t, so we turned and begun our descent. On the way down, we could occasionally see small portions of the glacier through the clouds so every once in a while I would grab my camera and shoot a few frames.
