Floe Lake, Kootenay National Park

Late in September 2013 we hiked up to Floe Lake in Kootenay National Park hoping to catch some fall colour on the larches. The trail is fairly easy for the first 7 or so kilometers but then climbs steepy for the remaining 3+ kilometers to the lake. Flow lake itself is beautiful and is in an even more beautiful setting, right beneath an imposing Rockwall.
